GameJam’09

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

On the weekend I had the pleasure to take part in GameJam’09 at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS). There was an interesting mix of presenters with a slant towards design. I gave a short presentation on the benefits of paper prototyping for digital game design, inspired by the work of Ian Schreiber and Brenda Brathwaite “Challenges for Game Designers“.

This was my first GameJam event at AFTRS, and it was great to see so many people interested in game design and development. The Sydney IGDA chapter and AFTRS did a stellar job in hosting the event, and the facilities were excellent. I’m looking forward to contributing in 2010.
